Projects
Things I build on nights and weekends to find out where an idea breaks before I'd ask a team to bet on it. I'm republishing the source for each one, and the links will appear here as they go up.

RPG Chess
A 3D chess game where an adventurer party fights an undead army. Stockfish scores each position, and an AI opponent on Amazon Bedrock plays at three difficulty levels. An earlier version won a blog-post prize in the Amazon Nova AI Hackathon.
What I learned: A chess engine and a language model work well together when each does the job it's good at. The engine decides what's true about the position, and the model explains it in plain words.
React, React Three Fiber, Stockfish, Amazon Bedrock, AWS CDK

AI Travel Agent
A travel planning assistant that finds flights, places to stay, restaurants and attractions, using live APIs and browser automation. Built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
What I learned: One orchestrator agent with good tools was more reliable and easier to run than a set of specialist agents passing work between them.
React, TypeScript, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Python

TriviaSnake
Multiplayer snake meets trivia, on serverless AWS with WebSockets for real-time play and AI-generated quizzes.
What I learned: How far an AI coding assistant can carry a full build. Sign-up, multiplayer, quiz authoring and infrastructure as code took about a dozen hours.
React, TypeScript, AWS Lambda, API Gateway WebSockets, DynamoDB, Amazon Bedrock, AWS CDK

AI Tutor
An AI tutor that teaches English to middle school students through lessons, adaptive quizzes and game elements. Built for the AWS AI Agent Hackathon.
What I learned: Letting the agent decide what to teach next, and when to check understanding, made lessons feel personal without scripting every path by hand.
React, TypeScript, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Amazon Nova, Python, DynamoDB
